What inspired Artisan Mews?
Carytown
Artisan Mews was inspired by the eclectic Carytown district in Richmond, known for its diverse array of over 230 shops, restaurants, and small businesses. We have woven Carytown’s lively and artistic charm into the design fabric of our community, offering residents a lifestyle that is both sophisticated and spirited.
These shops and restaurants are just a few of the Carytown Artisans that inspired us
"I was particularly impressed by how many of the design choices seemed to draw inspiration from local businesses. I believe this really fosters a strong sense of community, and it's something that resonated deeply with me. It’s clear that a great deal of thought went into creating spaces that feel connected to the local area. I may be biased, but the Shyndigz Market unit in particular, seemed like the perfect place to create a sweet retreat and heartfelt memories!"
– Jordan, Manager of Shyndigz
"These units are an incredible nod to Carytown- they provide a built-in welcome to the neighborhood! Anyone moving in who may already know the shops in Carytown can clearly see the inspiration, while anyone moving in from a different city will have a reason to explore and get to know the area! The subtle nods to Plan 9 will be noticeable to any long time patron of our shop without being overt for someone who may have not discovered us yet. What a thrill to be a small piece of someone's new home."
– Jim Bland, Plan 9 owner
